We were asked to test the AVS Video Editor and used Kooblai’s Gul Dukat track as background in an F-16 v. F-15 scene snatched from YouTube. The AVS Editor is simply a brilliant platform that we can’t imagine many will experience problems with. It does the job and does it well. There are a few things we’d like to see added to it such as greater control over the video itself and text effects, but this is quite the tool for those that want to experiment working with video, audio and text. We have received superb feedback from producers associated with CFP Europe where the weak local currency (ISK) against other currencies presents a cost effective alternative for producers operating on tight budgets. If the budget isn’t tight, this means that more funds can be allocated toward other aspects of the production. There is a lot of talented young producers out there that only need the perfect score for the visual imagery. That’s what we’re here for.
